I am a UK qualified teacher with a PGCE and teach A-level economics at an Ofsted rated outstanding sixth form college. I know how marks are awarded and how to get them! I hold a BSc in Economics with Econometrics (2:1) from the University of Bath and an MSc in Economics from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London. I started teaching after a long career in the City of London working as an economist for banks and a macro research firm covering macroeconomics and markets.
I now teach exclusively online which I find to be equally as effective as face-to-face tuition.
I use the Zoom platform which allows me to video call with students. I link this with some whiteboard software I have called Miro which means I can collaborate with students with work such as drawing charts.
I have good knowledge of the specifications of Edexcel/Pearson, OCR, AQA and also the International Baccalaureate.
I usually recommend 1 hour sessions, but occasionally teach for 1.5 hour hours to some students

You need to give 24 hours notice to cancel a lesson. Lessons that are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged at 50% of the lesson rate.
I usually set some work which students should do before each lesson. This depends to some extent on their workload and often we will work on homework set by students’ class teachers.
I will do my best to help you achieve your goals. One-to-one classes help students to increase grades as the tuition is personalised. As always, though, students need to work hard to achieve the best grades.
