Version 2026-10 · Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy an Exam Toolkit plan or marking credits on theeconomicstutor.co.uk. They don’t cover one-to-one tuition, which is arranged separately. Please read them before you buy. At checkout you’ll be asked to confirm that you agree to them.
The Economics Tutor (“we”, “us”) is run by Philip John Edgecombe Uglow, a self-employed economics tutor based in Spain. Our full business details are in the Legal Notice. You can contact us through the contact page.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your order is sold through Link, Stripe’s payment service, which acts as the seller of record for the payment. It charges you, collects VAT or similar taxes where they apply, and may show as LINK.COM on your bank statement. Link’s own terms are shown at checkout and also apply to the payment. We provide the Exam Toolkit, the credits and the support.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT. At checkout Stripe may show the price in your local currency.
The features and prices shown on the plans page when you buy form part of these terms.
You need a free account to buy, so that your purchase is saved to it. An account is for one person. Please keep your login private and don’t share it. If you’re under 18, please ask a parent or carer to buy for you or to agree to the purchase first.
To keep the service fair and affordable, each account can download up to 20 worksheet PDFs a month (downloading the same file again in the same month doesn’t count twice) and mark up to 30 answers a day. We may suspend an account that is shared or used to copy content in bulk.
All content is protected by copyright. You may use it for your own study. You may not share, copy, sell, upload or republish it, or use it to teach others, without our written permission. Downloaded PDFs are stamped with the account holder’s name.
If you’re a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content or a digital service. Because everything here is available straight away, at checkout we ask you to confirm that:
We keep a record of that confirmation, with the date and the version of these terms.
If you change your mind within 14 days and haven’t used the plan or the credits at all, contact us and we’ll refund you in full.
If content is faulty or doesn’t work as described, tell us and we’ll fix it, replace it or refund you as appropriate. This doesn’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.
We keep improving the Toolkit. We may add, update or occasionally remove content, but we won’t make changes that substantially reduce what you’ve paid for during a paid period.
We’re responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We’re not responsible for exam results or for losses that weren’t foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of your home country or in Spain. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we’ll try to put it right.
We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one you agreed to at checkout. For renewing plans, we’ll give you notice of any important change before it applies.
